From Web2 to Web3

Electroneum was founded by Richard Ells, a seasoned tech entrepreneur with a track record of building successful digital businesses long before the rise of blockchain technology. With over two decades of experience in Web2, Richard launched multiple ventures—from digital marketing firms to SaaS platforms—that served millions of users globally.
In 2017, Richard turned his attention to blockchain technology with a bold vision: to make crypto usable, practical, and accessible to everyone. With the launch of Electroneum 2.0, he is helping lead the evolution of Web3—focused on building a faster, more affordable, and more inclusive blockchain for developers and communities around the world.

Chris joined in 2018 and was co-architect to the moderated blockchain. Today, he oversees all blockchain developments, cryptocurrency exchange integrations, and supplementary applications for third party ecosystems and devices.
