Private Keys
Private Keys
I have an Electroneum App or my.electroneum.com wallet login (ETN-NETWORK)
The Electroneum App and my.electroneum.com wallets are closing on 12th July 2026. All transactional functionality of the Electroneum App and my.electroneum.com wallet system has ceased already. The ONLY way to access / transfer or transact with any ETN stored in this wallet system is to download your Private Key and make use of a third party wallet system. There are plenty of third party wallet systems available that are simple to use and offer advanced features and functions.
The Electroneum blockchain has come a long way since its launch and is now fully EVM and Web3 compatible. The Electroneum App and my.electroneum.com wallet systems are not fully Web3 compatible wallets and because there are many superb third party wallet software providers out there it does not make sense to update our systems. Many of these projects provide far more functionality that could ever be provided via the Electroneum App such as wide ranging support of other cryptocurrencies and even VISA debit card facilities (see the Zypto.com app that now fully supports ETN).
We are now initiating the return of your Private Key. All cryptocurrencies use public and private keys to operate. Your Public Key is your cryptocurrency “address” where you receive cryptocurrency, hold cryptocurrency and spend cryptocurrency. The Private Key is the secret key that is used to enable that wallet to make payments and do lots of other things such as operating smart contracts.
By Returning your Private Key we are empowering you to choose a new wallet provider from the many third party web3 compatible wallets. We are including tutorials and videos to show how to use your Private Key in the popular Zypto app, because we have used it and it is the easiest to use (in our team’s opinion), and provides more functionality than most wallets. You can choose any provider though including but not limited to Metamask, Trust Wallet etc. Remember these services are provided by third-party platforms. Please perform thorough due diligence and understand that using these services is entirely at your own risk.
You can now download your Private Key to be kept secret added to a compatible third party wallet to enable access to your stored ETN.
Log-in to the Electroneum App or https://my.electroneum.com in order to download your Private Key. If you haven’t logged in for a long time, you may not have been migrated to the latest blockchain, so it’s best to log in well in advance of the deadline 12th July 2026 as this process can take several hours or even days if you had a lot of transactions or have not logged in for a long time.
Access to retrieve your Private Key and to your wallet will remain until the deadline on 12th July 2026 , via the ETN APP and https://my.electroneum.com.
Once you receive your Private Key, you will no longer have access to your Electroneum App wallet or https://my.electroneum.com (your funds will now be back in your direct control, allowing you to access them via third party ETN compatible wallets).
At this point, the wallet will be removed from your Electroneum App wallet and https://my.electroneum.com and removed from the ETN-Network. Support for it can no longer be provided.
Any future access to this wallet will only be through your chosen third party provider.
You may be required to complete KYC before you can download your Private Key.
If you have the Private Key, public key and read key from the legacy blockchain, you will also be able to use the GUI Smartchain Migration Tool
